Anyways, I was thinking about how after a bath, I always apply coconut oil to my skin instead of lotion. This is because I chose to reduce the toxic chemicals in my environment to the best of my ability.
If your skin is the largest organ you have (it is) and you are into eating nothing processed, then why are you putting chemicals on it? If you don’t think these chemicals make it into your blood steam then do a quick search on sun block toxicity. Just like a healthy sustainable diet, it’s just a simple decision to change.
To detoxify and reduce the chemical load on the body and make skin supple, use these natural ingredients in your next hot bath:
1 TBSP coconut oil (organic)
1 TBSP honey (local unpasteurized)
A few drops eucalyptus oil
A few drops Teatree oil
Optional: a cup epsom salt
You can mix different oils and experiment with how you feel!
