Recently, I was feeling a major conviction to cleanse. Learning about alkalizing and ridding the body of toxins has really pushed me to take initiative. Cleansing doesn’t have to be poop pills inducing a sprint to the bathroom every 30 minutes. In fact, the best cleanses are ones based on a lifestyle change or slower internal cleaning. When we are done with the cleanse I will be more than happy to share it with you! For now, this recipe for wraps will do just fine:)
If you are looking for a healthier alternative to wheat wraps and burritos, or are just looking for some ways to get more veggies in, this is for you. This little wrap was really filling and the cool thing is you can literally put whatever you want into it!!!!
Large collard leaves (chop where the stem meets the leaf) (also make sure you have washed your veggies)
Hummus or paleo alternative
Chopped red peppers
Sliced turnips or jicama
Salmon, chicken or *vegan* tofu
OTHER YUMMY OPTIONS
Walnuts or sunflower seeds
Different flavors of hummus (I used cilantro jalapeno)
Sauces (make your own!)
Lay leaf out and spread hummus and or avocado on it
Add all of the ingredients you want to put in the wrap. Try to lay them along the middle and make sure there is enough room to roll the ingredients inside
I use a toothpick or skewer to hold them in place
Serve with what ever side you like!
