Caring about people is more important than caring what they think.
I met Chloe late last year and we’ve grown tremendously as people and friends in such a short amount of time. As coaches and personal development brands we get to share amazing content because it is our gift to the world. Writing that I am a “gift to the world” initially makes me feel a sense of entitlement, snobbiness and that I want to kick my own ass. But I don’t… and I know Chloe doesn’t either.
We have such a passion for empowering people, that having doubt or fear of image can’t get in the way. You can see that based this amazing, raw and emotional video from Chloe this past week. Shattering the ceiling of self doubt and moving beyond the ego is the most empowering and selfless thing you can do.
Thoughts like… “How often should I post so I don’t annoy people?” or “Maybe I shouldn’t keep being positive because it might make people feel bad about themselves” or “Maybe I shouldn’t be vulnerable because I’m supposed to be an expert and I have to be perfect…”
The reason why I don’t listen to those thoughts and continue post and blog is because there’s no content calendar for when someone is having a shitty day. Or someone is on the edge of breakthrough and just needs that final push of encouragement to commit to themselves. Or that someone wants to smile for 30 seconds.
“Be who you are and say what you feel, because those who mind don’t matter and those who matter don’t mind.”— Dr. Seuss
Why not make a difference in one person’s life? That’s how I combat those negative thoughts. I’m not saying they completely go away no one is perfect however it gets easier and easier to shift knowing the why I post content.
There are tools and tips if you listen closely and stand in your power you can do what you intend to do. As someone who feels like I can and will make a difference I feel responsible to share this with the world.
As I wrap this post up if something from Chloe’s amazing inspirational content strikes you share it! Or if you enjoy a blog or something I talk about in a discovery coaching call share that with the world as well.
Don’t be afraid of what others might think of you. If something isn’t speaking to you it doesn’t mean it’s not helping another person. Don’t rob the world of the gift that you are… there’s only one of you!
