So I wanted to make the apartment smell nice (aka it had a lovely garbage aroma). I remember growing up and my mom boiling different things to make the house smell good before she had her clients over (she is a hair dresser). As a child it really felt like home when the smell of cinnamon and nutmeg flooded my little nostrils, not to mention I knew it was fall!
Anyways, going back to the post. I did not have cinnamon sticks on hand so I went with the powdered kind. I then added pumpkin spice a little of this pumpkin house spray, organic vanilla extract and apples! so..
1/2 tbs pumpkin spice
2 spritz pumpkin house spray ( if you do not have any of this, add a little extra of everything:)
1 tsp vanilla extract
1/2 chopped apple
3 cups water
Then set it on the stove, and bring to the highest temp until it begins to boil. Let it be for about 3 minutes until it’s been steaming, and then bring it to a medium heat.
the sweet aroma of fall will fill your home!!! (hopefully masking whatever it is you are trying to cover up..)
After mine was mostly burnt up (20m) I poured it into a little mason jar and left it open while I went to class. You can keep it in the fridge and reuse it the next day, adding a little more water and possibly a touch more of whatever you really want it to smell like!
Hope you have a great smelling home and a wonderful fall:)
