Oh how relevant am I:) Can’t help but think… If this unicorn frappe’ thing can get so popular, why not a healthier alternative… say like a unicorn bowl:)
SO. Last week I put out a spif. I basically said if I got more than 30 people who saw my post from the last powerbowl recipe to check it out, I would make another recipe!
Well.. definitely didn’t get 30.
Instead, 200 people checked it out!!!!!!
It warms my heart because that’s 200 more people that have a healthy snack to try:) If I can do that with just once post then I am a pretty fulfilled lady.
Anyhoo, let’s get to that unicorn bowl.
Cuz I know your ready for some MAGIC (in that bellyyyyy).
So this #POWERBOWL gets coined “the unicorn bowl” because once you mixed it all together, pretty much looks like a unicorn… Well minus the glitter (hmmm… edible healthy glitter…).
First you start with your base. Here I have Chasewgurt. It’s my personal favorite:)
Next we add some fruit, I use up to a cup. Now here I only have blueberries, but if you wanted to make this bowl even more colorful, frozen strawberries and mango’s would make the colors POP.
After we have our fruit in there, then I star adding in the proteins. First I start with a tbsp of chia seeds.
Then I add a tbsp of collegen protein, to which my favorite brand is of course bulletproof!!! For a vegan option add 1-2 more tbsp of chia seeds.
Then a little cinnamon!

Whoop! There you go, now for the finishing touch!
I absolutely LOOOOVE Go Raw. I eat their sprouted pumpkin seed bars all the time, they are my absolute favorite. To take a break from my go to pumpkin seed habit, I recently tried their watermelon seeds. AMAZING! The little bit of sea salt was absolutely perfect in the bowl.
Now it’s time to mix it up!!!! Then, enjoy your unicorn food:)
- Yogurt - 1 cup
- Fruit - 1/4-1 cup (1/4 blueberries, 1/4 strawberries and 1/4 mango)
- Chia seeds - 1 Tbsp
- Collagen protein -1 Tbsp (or chia for vegan)
- Spirulina - 1 Tbsp
- Pumpkin or watermelon seeds 1-2 Tbsp
- Get a medium sized bowl, fill with your yogurt.
- Add your fruit
- Next add in your protein (chia and or collagen) and sprinkle a thin line across the yogurt
- Next sprinkle a thin line of the other ingredients
- Take a Instagram pic and #powerbowls @chloegirl @thefreedomdigest then mix and eat!!!
