Do what inspires, energizes and moves you.
Don’t just try to exercise to be a stick or because you “have” to.
We often do things we don’t like just to obtain a goal that does’t really matter.
For myself, I spent a long time trying so hard to have a grit-iron military strict schedule for staying skinny. All that got me was sick and miserable. I decided to take up yoga, longs walks and hikes with some weight training. It completely changed the way I viewed exercise.
Now with proper education and a goal to be “healthy” (and maybe even to squat 135 pounds) my goal is NOT to starve myself or spend hours on a treadmill, because I have value and am beautiful the way I was created:)
1 Corinthians 6:19-20
“Or do you not know that your body is a temple of the Holy Spirit within you, whom you have from God? You are not your own, for you were bought with a price. So glorify God in your body.”
Do what brings you closer to God (if that’s a little 20 minute run twice a week or a daily walk) and enjoy the body God gave you, it is amazing!
Nobody got time for dat (2 hours doing cardio)
More on proper and effective exercise soon to come:)
