This is a fairly cheep craft that you can make your self and either sell or hang up in your own home!
I decided to take it on a big scale and to have a deep meaning behind the project (keep in mind you do not have to do this, I will post some smaller examples below).
I went to Goodwill and Found this giant canvas for 20$ with some abstract acrylic painting that could easily be painted over.
I took it back to my dorm (college student at the time) and decided I was going to involve my small group .
I had them all write letters to God of their sins and things the felt the wanted to give to him.
They wrote them on empty old book pages I got for a dollar at the thrift store.
I modge podged their letters on the large canvas on top of old music sheets, another cheap old thrift book.
Then once that dried, I pasted the words of Isaiah 1:18 on the canvas with cheap Walmart letter shaped sticky notes intended for school projects.
Once I had them lined up correctly I painted over the whole canvas. MAKE SURE you press down on the letters so no paint gets under them.
I then peeled off the letter’s to reveal all the girls letters of the Lord had been “covered”. Symbolism is cool, and Jesus is cooler.
Here was the finished product the first time I hung it up in my dorm, and again now that I am married.
Here is one I made for my Husband’s 25th birthday
