We stopped by Jerome today which is about 30 minutes north of Prescott, Arizona. Hubbs needed to work, and so did I so he headed to knock some doors and I headed to the nearest Coffee shop.
Flat iron coffee offerer a quaint environment for me to journal and crunch numbers, but no wifi. I have to say that first because for my job, I need wifi. So this was a major bummer. On the other hand, being such a small coffee shop, the coffee was pretty great! They also offered local goat milk, which I can have and was pretty dandy. It made my latte thick and creamy. I wish it would have been a Sunday, because the offer gluten free waffles!!!!
My favorite little eclectic detail among the many was the little dinosaurs throughout the shop… I love dinosaurs in a over the top way.
Looking for wifi, I went next door to the general store. A couple owns both which is so cool! The general store doubles as a juice bar! The owner made me a root juice right on the spot with a little Jacqueline juicer.
The juice was REALLY good. It was turmeric, beet, carrot and one other root veggie I cannot remember. Maybe ginger…. But it was good.
After, I walked about and explored. The place is so darling and almost a step back in time. There is a lot going on in such a small town.
Look at that view!!!!
Later my husband joined me for dinner at grapes – the restaurant.
What a stud!!!!!
I had just had my wisdom teeth pulled a few days before, so I could not chew. The server was so sweet to give me gluten free bread and Tuscan soup. She toasted the bread so it was easier to melt in the soup!
Now, I rarely eat grains but I was limited. The bread tasted so good but THE SOUP. It was a bean-less Tuscan soup filled with what I observed to be:
Lemon grass or green onion? Probably not
Some Italian spices
Needless to say again, it was so satisfying and spiced to perfection. I was thoroughly impressed with the food there.
